Tumtum the dinosaur makes a lot of noise stomping around, though he becomes so quiet when grownups are around that they don't believe he exists. Tib is teased in his stone-age tribe for his clumsiness and for the birthmark on his face. When he meets Tumtum, Tib finds a friend who has a birthmark too—and who accepts Tib just the way he is. When the grownups finally see the big red dinosaur, will Tumtum be allowed to join their ranks? And can he help when the tribe faces danger?
